Paul Duffield Awarded the Jan Morrow Award!
Canada’s only Ice Swimmer Paul Duffield was awarded the 2013 Jan Morrow award. To become an Ice Swimmer Paul swam in 4 degree celcius water for a mile without a wetsuit! Paul was invited to participate in a relay swim across the Bering Strait this summer, as well as to participate in the World Ice Swimming Championships in Finland in 2014. His other open-water swimming accomplishments include swimming across the Georgia Strait last summer as part of a relay team, swimming a mile in 10 lakes in 1 day, and, of course, participating in the Across the Lake Swim for several years running. The determination necessary to become an Ice Swimmer has made Paul an inspiration to many and a deserving recipient of the Jan Morrow award! Congratulations Paul!
