Kalamalka Lake Swim Cancelled

The Across the Lake Swim Kalamalka Lake scheduled for this Saturday, August 15th, has been cancelled.

With the current state of emergency, highway closure, ongoing wildfire activity and smoke conditions in the area, proceeding with the event is simply not appropriate.

Our thoughts are with everyone who has been affected by the fires, including those who have been evacuated or are facing uncertainty in the days ahead.

We know many of you have been preparing for this swim and may also have travel and accommodation plans in place. We understand how disappointing and frustrating a cancellation can be.

We will be sending an email within the next few days outlining the options available to registered participants.
